TEG - Work Based Degree in Mechatronic Systems

TEG is actively recruiting Leaving Certificate Students who have an interest in Engineering. The Level 7 Degree will involve the following program:
Year 1: Keyboard and ECDL skills. CAD design. Quality Inspection and Assurance Systems. Safety Protocols. Documentation control.
Years 2-4: Completion of online Level 7 Mechatronics Engineering Degree subjects in at Sligo IT.
During the months of the academic year the successful candidates will study for 2 days per week online and attend lectures in Sligo IT. The remaining 3 days per week will be spent learning the practical elements of becoming an Engineer while working in TEG. For the remainder of the year the candidates will work the normal working week.
The candidates will be paid weekly at the pay rates associated with each level of an apprenticeship program. The rate of pay will increase upon successful completion of the academic examinations each year. It is expected that the successful candidates will commit to working for TEG for a period of 3 years after obtaining a B.Eng. in Engineering.

- Have a strong interest in Engineering and problem solving
- Good attention to detail
- Enjoys working as a member of a team
- Strong work ethic with a desire to complete projects successfully
The advantages of participating in this program are that you will gain a B.Eng. qualification. You will have no student loans because you will you will be paid at every stage. In practical experience gained while working in TEG will be hugely beneficial to you in your future career.
